For the shrimp:
2 - 2 1/2 lbs. shrimp
1 box pickling spice
3 1/2 tsp. salt

For the sauce:
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
3/4 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup capers (to taste)
2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Salt and Tabasco

Thinly sliced onion rings

Directions:
Directions:
Cook peeled shrimp with pickling spice and salt (slightly under-cook the shrimp as the marinade will "cook" it more). Cool shrimp then peel. Mix ingredients for sauce. In a dish, layer shrimp and sliced onion rings then cover with sauce and marinate 48 hours. Note: The marinade will "cook" the shrimp more.
