2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. sour cream
chopped onion to taste
2 c. grated cheddar
1/2 c. melted butter
salt and pepper to taste
2 lb. package hashbrowns, thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Mix all ingredients except hashbrowns in a bowl.
Spread hashbrowns in a 9" x 13" pan.
Fold in sauce mixture.
Bake one hour.

I usually saute the onions in some of the butter to soften them before I add them to the sauce.
