Cake:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Frosting:
1/4 c. cocoa powder
6 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. In large bowl, place sugar, flour, cocoa, butter, and vegetable oil; pour over this 1 c. boiling water and stir well. Add vanilla.

2. In 1 cup measure put buttermilk, and stir in baking soda - it will foam up. Add to previous mixture along with the eggs. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

When cake comes out of the oven, have the frosting cooked and ready to spread on the cake immediately.

Frosting:

1. In medium saucepan, mix cocoa powder, milk, and butter; bring to a boil over medium heat.

2. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla, and walnuts. Spread on cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
