Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe

1 cup large flake oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 large bananas or 3 small bananas
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup mini chocolate chips

Mix oats, flour, sugar, salt ,baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
Combine egg, milk, oil, vanilla, and bananas. Pour into dry ingredients and mix only until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Divide batter into 12 greased or paper lined muffin tins.
Bake in preheated 400 oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

These muffins are my family's favourite!
I usually make one batch for school with chocolate chips, and another with walnuts instead, for home snacks.
