2 Sticks Butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
1 egg
2-21/4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat on high, butter until creamy. Add sugar slowly and beat very well. Add vanilla, pinch of salt and egg. Beat very well again. Add flour a little at a time, beat well after each time. Put mixture in cookie gun and decorate to your liking. Bake at 350 until light brown on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 8-9 minutes, depending on your oven. Enjoy.

You can double this recipe but you need a really good mixer to do that much. This was always a favorite at X-mas time for the whole family.
