Nana's Macaroons Recipe

2 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
3/4c granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 c coconut

Directions:
Directions:
beat the egg whites until stiff, add salt and sugar gradually. Add vanilla, fold in coconut Drop on buttered cooking sheet. Bake at 275 oven for 20-25 minutes.

To make chocolate macaroons (which I never remember Nana making) 1 sq melted chocolate added just before coconut.
