1/2 16 oz pkg mostaccioli or penne
1 lg red pepper
1 lg yellow pepper
1 lg green pepper
1 lg onion
3 T olive oil
1 T sugar
3 T balsamic vinegar
1 tsp fresh basil
1/2 tsp cracked pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pasta first and set aside. Cut peppers and onion into 1/2 inch wide strips. Cook in 12 inch skillet over med/high heat in hot olive oil until tender and brown, approx 15 min. Stir in sugar, vinegar, and cracked pepper. Heat through. Toss pepper mixture with pasta.

I use way more fresh basil and this is great served hot or cold.
