1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp salt
2 cups chopped almonds
6 oz package english toffee bits
addtional sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add oil, eggs, and extract; mix well, Combine flours, baking soda, creamof tartar and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in almonds and toffee bits. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets; flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes of until lightly browned.
