c warm water (105-110)
1 Pkg. yeast
c melted shortening
2 c buttermilk
1 c whole-wheat flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
tsp soda
c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix with buttermilk and shortening. Mix dry ingredients together, sift and stir into liquids. Roll out on lightly floured board and roll into shape, about - 1.2 inch thick. Cut into biscuits. Place in lightly greased pan. Bake at 400. For approximately 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Left over dough may be refrigerated up to 2 weeks for later use.
