1 c. butter 3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
Combine 1 c. hot water with 1 tablespoon soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter and sugar. Add molasses, eggs, flour, buttermilk, salt,
cloves and ginger. Mix well. Then combine hot water and soda and blend
into gingerbread mixture.

Bake in greased and floured pans at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
This will take two pans or large pyrex baking dishes. Lower heat for
pyrex.
