4 cups peeled and sliced peaches
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
cup all purpose flour (self-rising flour can be used)
cup oats
tsp. ground cinnamon
tsp. ground nutmeg
1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange peaches in 8x8x2 inches pan or other dish approximate size. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over peaches.

Bake until topping is golden brown and peaches are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve warm and, if desired, with cream or ice cream. 6 servings.

This can also be used with peeled, sliced tart apples.
