1 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped toasted English walnuts
1 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar and beat until combined.
Add water & vanilla, and beat until combined.
Use mixer and add as much flour and the nuts with a wooden spoon.
Shape dough into 3/4 inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325º for 12-15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Put powdered sugar in a plastic bag. While cookies are still warm, place 2 or 3 at a time into bag and gently shake, until cookies are well coated. Cool cookies on wire racks. When cookies are completely cooled, shake cookies again in powdered sugar.
