1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. flour
7 Tbsp. cocoa, divided
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. hot water

Directions:
In a mixing bowl; mix 3/4 cup sugar with flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk, butter and vanilla; beating till smooth. Pour into ungreased 8 or 9 inch square baking dish. Stir together 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 4 tablespoon cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water carefully over top. Do NOT stir. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes till center is almost set. Let stand 15 minutes before spooning into dessert dishes. Spoon sauce from bottom over all. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping is desired.
