Shrimp Creole Recipe

1 1/2 c chopped onion
1 c finely chopped celery
2 middle green peppers chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 lb shrimp
1 c water
2 tsp parsley
1 tsp salt/or seasoned salt
1/4 c butter
1/8 tsp caynne pepper
2 bay leaves
3 c hot cooked rice

Cook and stir onion celery, green pepper, and garlic in butter about 5 minutes or until tender.

Remove from heat, stir in tomato sauce, water and seasonings.

Simmer 10 minutes. Add additional water if needed. Add shrimp.

Heat mixture to boiling; cover and cook over medium heat 10-20 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender. Serve over hot cooked rice.
