1 c brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
1/4 c hot water
1 1/2 heaping tbsp of flour and corn starch mixed
1 1/4 c milk flavored with vanilla
2 egg yolka
2 egg whites
Sugar to make stiff meringue


Directions:
Directions:
Mix brown sugar, butter, and hot water. Bring to a boil and cook until it scorches (gives butterscotch flavor). Make custard of flour/corn starch, milk, and egg yolks. Bring to a boil and cook until thick. Pour butterscotch into custard and pour into bake pie crust. Beat egg whites with enough sugar to make stiff meringue. Cover butterscotch filling with meringue and bake in 400 oven until lightly browned.
