1/2 c. soft shortening (Crisco)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add 2 beaten eggs and milk. Then add salt, baking powder and flour.
Last to above add the cornmeal.
Baked in greased 8 x 8 pan at 400º for 30 minutes.

Can serve with honey butter: 1 stick softened butter and 1/4 c. honey.
