Dough:
1/2 c butter
1 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp water

Filling:
1/2 c butter
1 c water
1 tsp almond flavoring
1 c flour
3 eggs

Glaze:
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp warm water
1/4 c chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Dough: Cut butter into flour and salt. Add water and mix like pie crust. Divide into two parts. Press out into 2 strips about 12X3 inches on ungreased cookie sheet. Leave 2-3 inches between the strips.

Filling: Heat butter and water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add almond flavoring and flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat, add 3 eggs all at one time and beat until smooth and glossy. Divide this mixture in half and spread on strips. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until topping is brown. Frost with glaze.

Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and warm water and beat well. Frost puffs and sprinkle with chopped almonds.
