2 packages quick rise yeast,
1 1/2 c. warm water,
2 1/2 c. flour,
1 c. flour,
1 t. salt,
1 1/2 c. boiling water,
3 well beaten eggs,
1/3 c. sugar,
1 1/2 c. flour,
1 c. raisins,
1 t. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl mix the 2 pkgs of yeast, 1 1/2 c.warm water, and 2 1/2 c. flour. This makes a "sponge". Set aside.
In large bowl or crock put 1 c. flour, 1 t. salt.
Over this pour 1 1/2 c. boiling water. Mix well, and cool.
Add the "sponge" and 3 eggs, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. raisins and 1 t. nutmeg. Mix well. Cover and let raise at least 1 hour. Drop by t. fulls into hot oil. Fry until brown, turning once. Roll in regular sugar. Eat Hot and enjoy.
