1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. liquid (see variations)
1 tsp. white corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. walnuts (whole if possible)







Variations:
Orange:
1/2 c. orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. orange zest, grated
6 drops orange coloring
2 1/2 c. walnuts (whole if possible)

Mint (better):
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. peppermint flavoring
4 drops green coloring
2 1/2 c. walnuts (whole if possible)

Directions:
Directions:
In 2 qt. pot, mix first 4 ingredients. Cook to soft ball stage 240 (use candy thermometer). Remove from stove & add walnuts & stir until creamy. Quickly turn out on waxed paper & separate with fork.
