3 c. milk
zest 1 lemon
2 tbsp. sugar
4 slices white bread, no crusts, spread with butter
1/2 c. raisins
3 eggs
1 tbsp. brandy
1/4 tsp. nutmeg, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk with lemon zest & sugar in small pan. When simmers, set aside for 10 minutes. Butter a pie dish. Cut bread slices in 1/2, butter & place in layers in dish, sprinkling raisins between layers. Beat egg, add brandy & pour into milk. Pour mix over bread & let soak for 1/2 hr. Sprinkle nutmeg & brown sugar over top & bake at 325 for 45 minutes.
