2 tsps Clear Vanilla Extract
4 T water
2 C Solid Vegetable Shortening
2 T Wilton Meringue Powder
2 lbs Powdered Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift powdered sugar, and meringue powder into large bowl. Set aside.
2. Cream shortening, flavorings and water.
3. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients and mix on medium speed until all ingredients have been thoroughly mixed together.
4. Blend until creamy. You may add more water (a little at a time) until desired stiffness is achieved.

This recipe is doubled already for the easy of using a full bag of powdered sugar. Sifting is probably not necessary unless there are chunks of sugar that need to be broken up.

Don't beat on a high setting. Air bubbles are not desired when icing a cake.
