1 box chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (14 oz.) light caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (pecons are best)
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. While cake is baking for 15 minutes, combine caramels, milk and margarine and cook over medium heat until caramels are melted. Watch closely and stir continuously to avoid burning. Pour mixture over baked, COOLED cake. Smooth evenly and sprinkle with choc. chips and nuts. Pour other half of batter over cake and return to oven and bake an additional 20-25 minutes until cake springs back. Remove and cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
