Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 large pan of cornbread
6 -8 biscuits (or loaf bread)
2 eggs
2 Tbsp melted shortening
1/8 tsp sage (or more)
1 medium onion chopped
Pepper and Salt to taste.
1 can cream of chicken soup
Chicken Broth (you will need quite of bit to have moist dressing)

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble up cornbread and biscuits in large bowl. Add eggs, melted shortening, sage, chopped onion, pepper and salt and mix well.

Pour heated chicken broth over bread mixture. I like to use enough broth to make the dressing fairly thin. Taste test to see if sage, salt & pepper is to your satisfaction.

May need to stir in additional broth while cooking. My family likes moist dressing

Bake 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until top turns brown and dressing is set.

If dressing gets too dry during cooking I add more broth and stir in. (may have to do this 2 or 3 times)

Personal Notes:
Mama passed this recipe on to me and it has become a favorite at Thanksgiving. I make several pans of it so that we will have leftovers for the weekend.
