3 eggs
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
*1 cup self rising flour
1 1/2 sq unsweetened choc. melted
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 tsp almond extract

*If plain flour is used add:
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs well, continue beating and gradually add sugar and melted shortening. Add flour and mix till smooth. Spoon 1/2 mixture into melted chocolate and pecans. Mix well and spread evenly in well greased pan.

To the remaining batter add coconut and almond extract. Drop by teaspoon over the chocolate batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
