1 /4 cup Hersheys unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup canned milk
1/2 cup Hershey Chocolate Syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa and water together then put all ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 or 6 minutes or until mixture reaches 225 on a candy thermometer. Mixture will thicken as it cools.

We grew up with Mom's hot fudge sauce. She made it in a very heavy triangular pan. This pan was so unique and became our kitchen's icon. She never measured, so the recipe died with her. This is my attempt to duplicate the flavor without the characteristic graininess.
