Ingredients:  
1 cup shortening
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla mix well. Stir together dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Roll into teaspoon size balls. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes
