"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1/3 c. corn starch
sprinkle salt
1/4 c. cocoa
2 3/4 c. milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten

1/2 - 1 tsp. vanilla
baked, cooled pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Stir first four ingredients together in large saucepan, add milk. Heat to boiling over medium heat & boil 1 min. Add the egg yolks. (NOTE: for best results, beat egg yolks in separate dish add approximately 1 1/2 c of the hot mixture to the egg yolks, mix well, THEN add to the saucepan). Bring to a boil. Boil 2 min. stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the margarine and vanilla. Mix well. Cool approximately 10-15 min., stirring after every 5 min. Pour into the baked, cooled pie shell. Cover with Saran Wrap© and chill until set - about 3 hours. Whip together the whipping cream, sugar and vanilla. Top cooled pie (first removing the Saran Wrap©, of course!) and enjoy!! Could top with chocolate sprinkles or curls, if desired.
