1 c. uncooked oats
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Topping:
9 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
In separate bowl, pour boiling water over oats. In mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and eggs. Then add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well. Fold in oats mixture.

Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350º for approximately 30-35 minutes or until sides of cake pull away from the pan.

While cake is still warm, mix topping ingredients (butter, brown sugar, coconut, pecans, vanilla, and evaporated milk). Spread mixture on warm cake and broil in oven for approx. 3 minutes, until slightly browned.
