1/2 c butter
1 c light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
3/4 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar, vanilla, and egg. Beat until light, then add sifted dry ingredients and nuts. Drop by scant teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 400 about 5 minutes. Cool before removing to wire rack. You can sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon if desired.
