2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. confectioner's sugar, divided
1 c. pecans, very finely chopped
2 tbsp. white corn syrup
1/4 c. bourbon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the vanilla waver crumbs, cocoa, pecans, and 1 c. of the confectioner's sugar. Add the corn syrup and bourbon; mix well. Shape into 1" balls and roll in the remaining confectioner's sugar. Put in a tightly covered tin box or other metal container for at least 12 hours before serving. These cookies keep well for 4-5 weeks, if they last that long!

This recipe is a favorite of Mike Hipps, Bennett's dad. He makes them every Christmas.

This recipe also makes delicious rum and brandy balls - just substitute 1/4 c. of rum or brandy for the bourbon.
