1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 10 oz. pkg peanut butter chips
2/3 cups corn syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups rice crispy cereal
2 cups salted peanuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, the 1/2 cup softened butter, the egg yolks, the teaspoon vanilla, the baking powder, the baking soda and salt. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on low until crumbly.

2. Firmly press the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake in the oven for 12 to 15
minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven,

3. Immediately sprinkle the marshmallows over the surface. Return to the oven for one or two minutes
or just until the marshmallows begin to puff. Remove from oven and cool while preparing the topping.

4. In a large saucepan, stir together the peanut butter chips, corn syrup, the 1/4 cup butter and the 2 tsp of vanilla. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in rice crispy cereal and peanuts. Spread over marshmallows. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours until firm. Cut and store in a covered container.
