4 slices bacon
1 1/2 lb. beef cubes, 1 1/2 inch
1 10 3/4 oz. can beef mushroom soup
1 cup Burgundy wine
2 T. tomato paste
1/4 t. thyme, crushed
1 medium bay leaf
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 small whole while onions
2 medium carrots, cut into 2 inch sticks

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble. Brown beef in bacon drippings. Add soup, wine, tomato paste, crumbled bacon, and seasonings. Cover and cook over low heat for one hour. Add onions and carrots, then cook another hour or until done. Stir occasionally. Remove bay leaf and serve over wide noodles.
