Applesauce Cake Recipe

2/3 cup butter
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. cloves
1 t. nutmeg
2 cups sugar
2 cups applesauce plus 2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Stir in applesauce w/soda. Sift together flour w/salt and spices. Add to mixture. Add raisin and nuts. Stir in vanilla. Bake @ 350 for 35 minutes in greased and floured 13 x 9 pan.

Cinnamon Glaze for top of Cake:

Combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 T. milk, 1 T. soft butter, and 1/4 t. cinnamon. Pour over warm cake
