1 pound butter
8 eggs
1 t vanilla
4 cups of flour
1 and 1/6 cup of granulated white sugar
1 and 1/3 cup brown sugar

Separate eggs
Melt butter and combine with egg yolks and sugar
Add vanilla, flour, and stiffly beaten egg whites
Put 1 t of batter on hot iron

Old recipe to use with the gaufrett iron
Iron must be used over a gas stove burner
Dust gaufretts with powdered sugar while warm
May have to adjust amount of batter on the iron
