Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe

1 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar, divided
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cup Quick cooking oats
1-1/2 cup golden raisins
2 tsp. cinnamon
Optional: 1 cup nuts, chopped

In mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, soda and salt. Beat in gradually, mixing to blend. Stir in raisins and oats. (For plumper raisins, cook in 2 cups of water for 5 minutes and drain.)

In a small bowl, combine remaining sugar and cinnamon. Roll a tsp. of dough in sugar and cinnamon; place 2" apart on sprayed cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
