1 C. Sour Cream
1 tsp. Baking Soda
4 C. Flour
(If batter not thick enough for cookie dough..
add more flour)

That's because in the 1800's fireplaces did not have temperature gauges and a "good cook" knew by looking if things were ready!

I wanted to leave this as is......so watch carefully!
