2 lbs ground lean round
1/2 cup cracked ice or ice water
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 - 8 oz can sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup burgundy
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp leaf sage, crumbled

Lightly combine the ground beef, ice (or ice water), onion, garlic salt, and pepper into a large bowl. Shape into 8 oval stakes. Heat oil in a non-stick skillet. Brown the beefburgers quickly on both sides. Lower heat and continue cooking for 5 minutes longer or until desired temperature. Remove to serving platter and keep warm. Drain mushrooms, saving liquid. Combine mushroom liquid with water, flour, wine, parsley flakes, and sage. Cover tightly and shake well. Pour into skillet and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Add mushrooms and cook until warm. Serve sauce over beefburgers.
