1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. almond extract
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar. Add extract; mix well.

In separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in almonds. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto lightly sprayed cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 22-24 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on wire rack.
