Preheat oven to 450.

COMBINE IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL:
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
4 tbsp. (1/2 c.) melted butter or margarine
1 c. ground pecans

PRESS INTO THE BOTTOM & SIDES OF A DEEP 9-INCH BAKING PAN. BAKE FOR 10 TO 15 MIN. UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. LET COOL.

Filling
ON MEDIUM SPEED IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT 1 POUND CREAM CHEESE, THAT IS SOFTENED OR AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, UNTIL IT IS FREE OF LUMPS.

GRADUALLY ALTERNATE BEATING IN 8 OUNCES OF PREPARED WHIPPED TOPPING AND 2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR. UNTIL MIXED WITH CREAM CHEESE. ADD 1 AND 1/2 TABLESPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT AND BEAT UNTIL MIXED. TURN THE FILLING INTO THE CRUST AND REFRIGERATE AT LEAST 2 HOURS.
