1 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1/3 c. milk
2 t. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º, Mix all ingredients together. Roll out dough on floured board and cut with cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheets for 20 minutes. (I rarely bake for the entire 20 minutes.)

I absolutely love this recipe. With sweet potatoes from the Marthasville Gladdens' garden, the biscuits are just perfect. I enjoy sharing this recipe by making double or even triple batches throughout the winter... or as long as my stash of potatoes will last!
