1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs


Cream together and then fold in:

1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda ( add this to the creamed mixture)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients together well and press half of the mixture into 9x13 pan.
Put a layer of almond past mixture over this.
Then crumble the rest of the spice mixture over the top.
Sprinkle with white sugar.
Bake in 350º oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
