2 1/8 cups all purpose flour
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
12 tbsp. unsalted butter (1 ½ sticks) melted and cooled until warm.
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
3 tsp. vanilla extract
1 bag milk chocolate chips (11.5 oz.)

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl and set aside. Mix butter and sugars until thoroughly blended. Mix in egg, yolk, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, mix until just combined. Stir in chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake until outer edges start to harden yet centers are still soft and puffy (15-18 mins.). Cool cookies on cookie sheet. Store in an airtight container.
