4 chicken breast with bone
2 large chicken thighs
1 can cream of celery soup
2 c self rising flour
1 c milk
1/3 c shortening
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/3 c chopped parsley
S & P to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken in large pot until chicken falls off the bone. Remove bones. Add 1/2 stick butter and cream of celery soup. Make dumplings by combining flour and shortening well and then add milk until a soft dough forms. Roll out on a floured surface and cut into 2x3 strips or pat in to small, flat rounds. Drop dumplings into boiling liquid and cook until puffed. Add parsley. Cook about 5 more minutes.
