"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 chocolate cake mix (or chocolate cake)
4 boxes of chocolate pudding mix (instant)
2 c. chocolate syrup
2 -12 oz. tubs of cool whip (or 2 pkgs. of Chantilly or real whipped cream)
6 Skor or Heath candy bars (I used almond chocolate bars)
1 very large bowl - punch bowl is good

Directions:
Directions:
Make cake according to package and bake. As soon as it is out of the oven, poke it with a zillion holes and pour the syrup all over, the entire 2 c.!! Let cool. Mix up the 4 boxes of pudding ( with 8 c. of milk). Chop, grind, pound, or use blender on candy bars. When cake is cool, take half of cake in small pieces and line bottom of bowl, add 2 cups of chocolate pudding, 1 tub of cool whip and 1 c. of ground candy bars. Repeat second layer--cake, pudding, cool whip and candy bars. This freezes well, if you have it around that long--should serve around 20-25 (unless there are chocolate lovers or high schoolers) and has 900 calories per serving.
