Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 1/3 to 1 1/2 cup shortening
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
milk as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Measure all dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix with an electric mixer until just mixed.

The dough should look like small peas and feel slightly greasy between your fingers. If it is dry add more fat; if it is really greasy add more flour. I've always measured by touch.

Add just enough milk (or water) to gather dough into a ball. Should make enough for one two crust 9" pie.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
All measurements are approximate. I learned this recipe from watching my mom. I estimated the measurements while watching her work one day, To this day I never measure for pie crust I do it by feel and it has never let me down.
