1 c Sugar
1 c Melted Shortening
1 c Dark Molasses
1 Egg
1 c Hot Water
2 level tsp Baking Soda
Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
4 c Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.

Dissolve baking soda in hot water and cool.

Mix water mixture, sugar, shortening, molasses, and egg together. Add cinnamon and flour. Refrigerate until cool and set in refrigerator.

Drop and bake.
