CRUST:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp almond extract
2 cup sifted flour

FILLING:
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup Karo syrup
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

CRUST: Mix sugar and butter. Stir in egg yolks, extract, and flour. Press evenly into mini-muffin pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

Reduce oven to 350 degrees.

FILLING:
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup dark Karo syrup
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 cup chopped pecans.

Bring all filling ingredients to a boil, mixing thoroughly. Spoon into crusts, top with a pecan half for decoration. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
