2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp mace
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/3 cup dates
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9x5x3 loaf pan.

Cream butter and sugar together add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture. Fold in dates and nuts.

Pour into loaf pan for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes; remove cool completely before slicing. Makes one loaf.

Will work with any dried fruit. If not using raisins or dates, change up the spices used.
