2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons baking cocoa
2 sticks butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, sugar and baking cocoa. In small saucepan, bring to boil the butter and water. After cooled, mix with dry ingredients. Then add the buttermilk, vanilla, and eggs. Mix together baking soda and salt and add to cake mix. Pour batter into greased and lightly floured cookie sheet/jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 400 oven for 20 minutes.

For frosting, bring to boil 1/2 cup milk and 1 1/2 sticks butter while cake is baking. In medium bowl, sift 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 3 1/2 tablespoons baking cocoa. Combine dry ingredients and hot ingredients and blend well. Pour over hot cake and spread evenly around, working quickly before frosting starts to cool. Add pecans on top if you wish.
