1 medium head of cabbage
1 onion, shredded
7/8 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
3/4 cup salad oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. celery

Directions:
Directions:
Shred the head of cabbage and layer it with the shredded onion. Continue layering until all cabbage is used. Cover with the 7/8 cup of sugar.
Bring to a boil the vinegar, salad oil, 2 tsp of sugar, salt, dry mustard and celery seed. Pour the boiled mixture over the cabbage and onion layers and cover. Refrigerate for 6-9 hours. Good for 2 weeks.
